1990

Tower Heating is established

Tower Heating was established by Neil Tomlinson & Steve Power. The pair met at Formby High School and after graduating, completed apprenticeships with British Gas. After gaining over a decade of experience, they decided the time was right to set up their own business and Tower Heating was born.

1992

Our first apprentice began training

Originally operating from an office at Steve’s house in Ainsdale, the company grew, taking on and training apprentices until 1999.

1999

Moved to a new premises

Tower Heating moved into an office and workshop on Liverpool Road in Formby.

2001

Became a Worcester Accredited Partner

Over the years Tower Heating has developed a great relationship with Worcester Bosch and as a Worcester Bosch Accredited Partner, can offer up to a 12-year guarantee on new boiler installations.

2003

Tower Heating continues to grow

As the company continued to build it’s reputation, the customer base grew and the workforce expanded to suit. This included Steve’s son Lee, who completed his apprenticeship in 2003.

2008

Neil’s two sons Greg and Stuart join the business

Lee took over his Dad’s role as a partner in 2008. Neil’s two son Greg and Stuart joined the business and in 2008 and 2010 respectively, gaining the requisite qualifications to achieve Gas Safe status.

2014

The three Tomlinson’s became company directors of Tower Heating.

Tower Heating moves from a partnership business to a limited company, Tower Heating Ltd. It currently employs eight Gas Safe engineers, three apprentices and a secretary.
